HAJDE is a collaborative, diverse and interdisciplinary diary project reuniting 24 women with different backgrounds between December 2020 and May 2021. Together we aim to combine all the past and current year's feelings to create a collective memory and space in pandemic times we will like to look back on in future. HAJDE symbolizes an atmosphere, meaning “Let’s start” or “Come (on)” and is used in Anatolia and the Balkans. The diaries include situations from the beginning of the pandemic and also current thoughts in German and English. The stories are anonymous; Only the place and date are presented. The diary creates a support instrument among women through uncertain times. Women are among the most affected by the pandemic. Project want to make their stories visible and document their strategies to overcome current struggles.
